About Us

Eliminating the necessary so that the client can accomplish the critical

Individuals, businesses, and organizations want to impact their families and communities in positive and sustainable ways. Therefore, they engage in critical, influential, and necessary activities. The problem is that those NECESSARY activities can create obstacles to their ability and capacity to focus time and attention on what matters most.

People and buildings are intricately connected because one’s space is both personal and essential.  Busy professionals and organizations tend to focus on what is urgent and important but not critical to their overall impact.

It is our goal to help solve that problem for the client!

In 2020, GEN-D was born from the mind of a design and hospitality professional who learned business from a multi-generational executive leader

the story of gen-d

In 2006, having worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years, Kara Bishop – CEO – decided to pursue a new life course, graduating with a degree in Architectural Interior Design in 2010.

As her career developed from interior design into design and construction management, Kara realized that a distinct family background of business from her father and creative hospitality from her mother, combined with her background in philosophy, customer service, and design gave her a unique perspective.

In 2018 Kara was invited by the Ambassador Enterprises community to take her unique skills, perspective and vision to start a service-minded company. In 2019 the first page of the GEN-D story was written in the form of an event services division. This division included the management of the venue called Events at The Summit. A year later, in 2020, out of an emerging vision of how people, events and spaces interact, GEN-D was born. The overarching vision of the company is that spaces are personal and are intricately connected to the people who live and work in them.

As GEN-D grew, it found its path forward as a space and building management company that seeks to simplify the life a busy professional or organization.
